Apiezon T Vacuum Grease - Product Overview:
The Apiezon T grease family of hydrocarbon high vacuum greases has been serving the market for many years and features products highly regarded worldwide for their quality, consistency, and excellent performance within diverse vacuum applications. Apiezon T greases are silicone-free and highly resistant to creep, the undesirable phenomenon traditionally associated with silicone-based lubrication products.
Apiezon T Grease is a silicone-free, medium-temperature vacuum grease renowned for its quality and tenacity. Apiezon T Grease has gained approval from a number of prestigious organizations including NATO and the US Navy. Apiezon T Grease performs well under a wide range of temperatures, ranging from 10 to 120 degrees Celsius. It has added cushioning and exhibits good sticking power. Apiezon T Grease has powerful "gettering' action" - that is, the grease absorbs potentially harmful chemical impurities on metal and glass surfaces. It is relatively easy to clean and remove, as it is soluble in hydrocarbon and chlorinated solvents.
Apiezon T Grease - Product Applications:
As a vacuum grease, Apiezon T Grease is specifically designed for use in the low-to-medium vacuum range, yet is suitable for use within the high vacuum range provided that lower temperatures are present. We specifically recommend that T Grease be used for both sealing and lubrication within medium temperature environments (but refrained from being used on highly-stressed bearings). Apiezon T grease confers excellent cohesive strength and, therefore, allows crucial joints to remain mated in a compact fashion and forming an extremely efficient, gas-tight seal. Furthermore, Apiezon T Grease provides extra cushioning between mated surfaces, and is highly effective in protecting fragile glass-to-glass joints.

We perform Turbomolecular Pump repair, Turbo Pump Repair, Dry Pump repair, Vacuum Pump repair, Mass Spectrometer repair, Rotary Vane Pump repair, Vacuum Booster repair, and Leak detector repair. Our highly trained technicians have years of experience and guarantee the highest quality service.
We operate at our own full service repair facility in Clifton, NJ. We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment including; complete line of decontamination, cleaning, drying, balancing, vibration analysis and software to minimize failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
We support all major manufacturers including Pfeiffer Vacuum, Alcatel / Adixen, Edwards Vacuum, Varian, Oerlikon / Leybod Vacuum, Vacuubrand, and Agilent Technologies.
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and long pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10-9 Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
Every pump and instrument is extensively tested for 48 hours. During our final tests, we monitor total pressure, temperature, vibration and noise level utilizing newest testing technologies and techniques specified by OEM.
